Stages:

  1. Choose a sport

  2. Establish groups

  3. Create a presentation in Genially

  4. Look for information and fill in the different slides

  5. Correct mistakes

  6. Present it in front of the class

  7. Ask questions about the presentation

  8. Listen to other presentations and answer the questions

  9. Students give feedback and evaluate other presentations

Students will be divided into groups of 3 because more students on this type of project tends to result in someone not doing anything. Focusing on timing, groups will have 2 days to create the presentation and the third day they will present in front of the class.

Genially has been a fantastic tool because of several reasons, the first one is that students feel engaged and motivated because Genially looks amazing and gives students a lot of resources to choose from, so they can customise it as they want.

The second one is about being easy to use and focusing on what is important, which is the content. Students only need to select some slides and put the information they want and however they want.

We have practised speaking, presentation skills and listening, by making them answer questions after every presentation.

One thing that I would change for the next time is to use other parts from Genially because presentations are only a small part of what this website can offer, and I think that other activities can be so much more motivating for students. I will also give them tips on how to talk in front of an audience and how to make the oral presentation interesting.
